It’s been superhero frenzy this past year, with the new Spiderman, last Batman film of Nolan’s trilogy, The Avengers, as well as the new Superman which has been announced. Personally these are my two favourites above, which one did you prefer more?

Paul/Downey: Ok, this can no longer be ignored, what is that your drinking?
Robert/Gyllenhall: It’s an Aqua Velva, you wouldn’t make fun of it if your tried it.
David Fincher’s Zodiac really is a masterpiece to behold with it’s occasional moments of comedy like above. His dark approach to this slow crime investigation builds slowly with suspense as we progress from the late 50’s to early 90’s, and in my opinion is one of the best scripts I’ve ever witnessed on screen, as well as a pretty damn good job by Fincher.

Zodiac (2007) an absolutely fantastic film that spans the decaded from the late 60’s to the early 90’s. Surprisingly this is a fiilm that many have never heard of. Zodiac was directed by the great David Fincher and starred a brilliant cast including Jake Gyllenhall, Mark Ruffalo and Robert Dwoney Jr. The image seen above is a letter word for word which The Zodiac murderer himself once wrote.
An interesting bit of trivia I spotted on the IMDB website was was “Scenes of Dave Toschi and Robert Graysmith watching Dirty Harry were filmed inside the Mann National Theatre in Westwood, CA. The garish color schemes of the movie theater were not added by the art department. The very retro interiors of the theater have remained unchanged since 1969, when the National was first built. Interestingly, “Zodiac” played at the Mann National Theatre in mid March of 2007. Thus, moviegoers watched other moviegoers occupy their seats - on the National’s trademark large screen. The theater has since been torn down.”

An Actor I’ve become obsessed by recently is Mark Ruffalo, this was sparked off by the Graham Norton show on the 04/05/12, Mark was there promoting ‘The Avengers’ just before it was released.
I’ve seen Mark in many great films, including Zodiac, Avengers, The Kids Are Alright, Shutter Island, Blindness and others. I rate Mark as easily one of the best actors in the business, and here’s some trivia for you guys, he stated on the Graham Norton show that it took him 600 interviews! (yea 600) before he got a job. So for you actors out there that are struggling to get a break, don’t worry, your time will come!

Arthur Leigh Allen: Can I help you?
Long pause of reckoning
Robert Graysmith: No.
Amongst many of David Fincher’s masterpieces was easily missed 2 and a half hour Zodiac featuring Jake Gyllenhall, Robert Downey Jr, Mark Ruffalo and more. The film’s plot is based on a graphic artist at the San Francisco chronicle who goes on the mission of bringing the Zodiac killer to justice.
Really a great film to watch.

Well for those of you who are lucky enough to have watched Avengers, what were your reactions? 12,000 users have given it an incredible 8.9 which ranks as the 89th best film of all time, do you agree? Or is this rating given for it’s no doubt awesome special effects.
I was one of the biggest critics on this film, on advertising I felt this was going to be your average crappy hero movie with no real story or character development but rather a film that mainly focused on special affects (Transformers). However shortly before release there was a lot of hype over the story and the character conflicts between the S.H.I.E.L.D group. So I’d love to hear some of your thoughts on the film?
